NCA Exam Prep: Evidence

A focused 2 to 3 hour video course that prepares you to understand, write and pass the NCA Evidence exam. Presented by The Hon. Justice Rick Libman of the Ontario Court of Justice.

About this course

Doing well on an NCA exam takes more than knowing the law. Exam writing is a skill, and it improves with instruction. This course reviews admissibility, relevance and the key rules of evidence as tested on the NCA Evidence exam, and shows you how to turn that knowledge into a clear, well-organized exam answer.

This is an exam technique and review course. It does not cover the full NCA syllabus and does not replace the NCA's required readings.

• Discussion of leading cases and references
• How to read NCA exam questions and what the examiner is looking for
• Walk-throughs of sample NCA exam questions and strong answers
• A step-by-step method for essay, fact pattern and IRAC-style questions
• Exam writing and time management tips
• NCA exam rules and how to prepare for exam day

The Hon. Justice Rick Libman has taught NCA accredited courses for over 15 years. He is a judge of the Ontario Court of Justice and an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. CPD House has offered NCA exam preparation since 2015. Read Justice Libman's profile

1. Register and pay online. Complete the registration form and pay CAD $125.
2. Check your email. You receive a registration confirmation right away. Please check your spam folder too.
3. Approval. We review your registration within 24 to 48 business hours. When it is approved, we email you and your course page opens.
4. Start studying. Log in to cpdhouse.ca with the email you registered with and open your course from the NCA Course Access page.

Your access stays open until the last day of the NCA exam session you registered for in this subject.
