CICC CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT • 2026 TO 2027 REPORTING PERIOD

Ten-hour bundles: substantive practice or tribunal skills

Both are partial-year blocks covering roughly two thirds of the 16.0 hour RCIC requirement. Each carries the Professionalism (Ethics) hour. The choice is whether you want depth in immigration practice or in the advocacy skills that decide hearings.

Two different faculties, not just two topic lists
Bundle 10A is taught by the immigration specialists: Melissa Harris, Shandana Sohail and Muhammad Watto, B.A., LL.B. Bundle 10B is taught entirely by the Hon. Justice Rick Libman, Ph.D., of the Ontario Court of Justice. No course appears in both bundles, and every session in either carries CICC approval for the reporting period.

Tribunal Evidence, Advocacy and Procedure

Seven live webinar and video sessions building the evidence, interpretation and advocacy skills that decide outcomes before tribunals.

Focus. Tribunal evidence, written advocacy, statutory interpretation, digital evidence, cross-examination, sentencing consequences, virtual proceedings.
Educator. The Hon. Justice Rick Libman, Ph.D., of the Ontario Court of Justice, who has sat on the bench since 1996.
Still needed for your year. 6.0 further CPD hours to reach the 16.0 hour RCIC requirement.
Topping up to a full year
Neither bundle completes the 16.0 hour RCIC requirement on its own. One route is TRP: Temporary Resident Permit Applications and Strategies, 2.5 hours with Shandana Sohail, which sits in neither ten-hour bundle and can be added to either. Individual courses are also available without a subscription, so you can buy only the hours you still need.
If you also hold a Law Society licence
Six of the seven sessions in Bundle 10B also appear in Law Society bundles for lawyers or paralegals. Hours attended once count once, and are reported separately to each regulator that recognises them. The CICC period runs 1 July to 30 June, while the Law Society year ends 31 December, so the same session can fall in different reporting years for each licence.

Your CICC requirement

The annual requirement for a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant is 16.0 CPD hours. The reporting period runs 1 July to 30 June and is separate from Law Society reporting. CICC recognises CPD only where the content aligns with your scope of practice. Confirm your current requirement and reporting period with the College before purchase. You remain responsible for completing your hours and reporting them yourself.

Bundle 10A is built to 10.5 hours rather than 10.0 because substantive sessions are accredited in 1.5 and 2.0 hour units, so an exact 10.0 total cannot be constructed without leaving participants short. Every session is delivered as a live, interactive webinar with direct access to the educator, and released as on-demand video at no extra cost.
