Refund and registration policy

This policy applies equally to every registration, in every licence class, for single courses and bundles alike.

The short version

If no live session in your registration has been presented yet, you may request a refund less a $24 administration fee, or take the full amount as in-house credit with no deduction. Once the first session has been presented, or where the registration is video format, no refund or credit is available.

A partly attended bundle is not eligible for a refund or credit. Once the first live session of a bundle has been presented, the registration is treated as delivered, whether or not you attended. Video format registrations are not refundable at any stage, because the content and materials are released in full at the point of registration.

Registrations under $50

The $24 administration fee applies to every cash refund without exception, so on a smaller registration it absorbs most of what you paid. If your registration was under $50 and you are eligible, in-house credit is almost always the better outcome: you receive the full amount and can apply it to any future registration.

How to apply

Refund requests are handled by email only and are not processed over the phone.

1. Check the table above to confirm your registration is eligible.

2. Email accounts@cpdhouse.com with your full name, the email address used to register, your licence number, and the bundle or course name.

3. Tell us which you want: a refund less the $24 administration fee, or the full amount as in-house credit.

4. We confirm by email. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. In-house credit is held against your record and can be applied to any future registration.

Withdrawal and your regulator

Where a registration is refunded or withdrawn, CPD House notifies the relevant regulator that the hours were not completed. Agendas, access records and any certificate issued before the withdrawal cannot be used to claim CPD credit. If you have already declared hours from a registration you subsequently withdraw, it is your responsibility to correct that declaration with your regulator.

Before you register

All CPD events are presented, facilitated and delivered on behalf of Canadian Career Education College operating as CPD House, as an approved CPD provider directly or indirectly. Registrants are asked to verify the accreditation status of an individual course or bundle on their own regulator's website before completing registration, and to confirm that the content falls within their scope of practice. Fees are not prorated: the price is the same whenever in the year you register.
