Seminar summary

Misrepresentation at any level or stage is serious and considered a serious violation with the IRPA as well in Canadian justice system. For example, When an Express Entry candidate submits an electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR) to IRCC, the individual is no longer a candidate but an applicant. Misrepresentation by the applicant or the counsel may trigger reporting right from there. Anyone within the agency will send a description of the trend to (OMC) Operational Management and Coordination - Citizenship Program Delivery and Promotion Division, who will share the information with the appropriate leads within Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This is fraud. It’s called “misrepresentation.” Document fraud can involve either false or altered documents, such as: passports and travel documents visas diplomas, degrees, and apprenticeship or trade papers certificates of birth, marriage, final divorce, annulment, separation, or death and police certificates If you lie on an application This course will cover in detail the statutory and procedural application under section 40 of the IRPA, preparing a submission and available remedies
