LAW SOCIETY OF ONTARIO LICENSING EXAMS

P1 paralegal and Ontario bar exam practice tests

Full-length simulations for the P1, Barrister and Solicitor examinations. Four attempts over 90 days, run on a timer that does not stop. Start free with a 15-day trial.

Open book does not mean easy
The LSO exams are open book, so nobody fails them for want of information. The P1 gives you 160 questions in 4.5 hours: one minute and forty-one seconds per question, including the time it takes to find anything in your index. Candidates who know the law still run out of clock. What decides the day is pacing, index navigation and the stamina to keep deciding accurately in hour four.

What makes this a simulation rather than a question bank

A timer that does not pause
The clock runs continuously from the moment you begin, exactly as it does on the day. Step away and it keeps going. That is the only honest way to find out whether your pacing holds.
The LSO answer format
Four options, every question. No “all of the above” and no “none of the above”, because the LSO does not use them. Practising against a different format trains the wrong instincts.
Two modes, one purchase
Work through questions at your own pace while you are still learning, then switch to a full timed sitting when you want to know where you actually stand.
Indices and pacing guides
Included with every paid track. Your index is the instrument you are actually being tested on; practising without one tests nothing you will do on the day.

How registration works

Access is verified rather than instant. Every candidate is checked before the simulator opens, which is what keeps the question bank out of circulation. Allow 24 to 48 business hours.

STEP 1
Choose your track
Start with the free trial if you want to see where you stand before paying.
STEP 2
Complete the form
Upload your verification documents and, for paid tracks, complete payment.
STEP 3
We verify you
Our exam team checks your documents against your LSO candidacy. 24 to 48 business hours.
STEP 4
Sit your exam
You receive an email with your login. The clock starts when you do.
You do not need another course
You have spent a year or more in an LSO-accredited diploma or a law degree. You know the substantive law. You do not need another lecture series re-teaching it; you need to find out what happens to your accuracy at minute 200. That is what a simulation is for.

CPD House is an Accredited Provider of Professionalism Content with the Law Society of Ontario. The Law Society does not endorse any licensing examination preparation product, including ours. Our simulations are independent study aids and are not affiliated with the official examinations.
