Description

Charter violations can result in significant remedies for clients in regulatory and criminal proceedings. This course explores the essential nuances of drafting Charter applications and unravelling the impact of rights violations on the admissibility of evidence. Practitioners must work together with the court to protect the administration of justice.


Learning Objectives:

  • Identify common Charter breaches in investigations and trial delays.
  • Strategize and draft effective applications for remedies or exclusion of evidence.
  • Advise clients on the priorities and likelihood of achieving a Charter remedy.
