Description
Legal practitioners must be up to speed on their obligations under the Human Rights Code regarding disability and mental health. This course explores the duty to accommodate to the point of undue hardship and strategies for inclusive client service. Practitioners must work together to achieve the best global resolution for their clients while upholding equality and diversity standards. Learning Objectives:● Define the "Duty to Accommodate" within the context of LSO professionalism and EDI standards. ● Implement inclusive client-service protocols for individuals with diverse accessibility needs. ● Strategize and mitigate the impact of systemic barriers in the legal workplace.
Admission Requirement: Registrants must be licensed legal practitioners in good standing (Canada or International).
