1. Log In to the Licensee Portal Access your personal account through the official CICC Licensee Portal.

2. Navigate to "My CPD" Locate the CPD reporting section on your dashboard and select the option to "Report an Approved CPD Activity."

3. Search for the Activity To find the specific program in the CICC database, use the following details:

  • Provider Name: cpdhouse / C.C.E.C.  (Canadian Career Education College)

  • Course Title: Use the exact name as printed on your course agenda or Certificate of Completion.

  • Approval Number: Refer to the CICC approved CPD database for the specific code.

4. Assign Your Hours To avoid audit flags, ensure you enter the hours exactly as they appear in the course agenda:

  • Substantive Hours: Refer to your agenda for the exact approved hours (contributing to the 15-hour annual requirement).

  • Professionalism Hours: Refer to your agenda for the exact approved hours (contributing to the 1.0-hour mandatory requirement).

Understanding the CICC CPD Carry-Forward Policy

The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) recognizes that professional development is an ongoing commitment. To provide flexibility, the College allows licensees to carry forward a portion of their surplus CPD hours into the following reporting term.

This policy is particularly beneficial for those completing the 7-hour Certificate in AI Governance & Legal Tech Workflow, as it allows you to build a professional "buffer" for your next annual cycle.

Carry-Forward Limits by Licensee Class

If you earn more than the mandatory hours required in a single reporting term (July 1 to June 30), you are entitled to carry over the following maximums to the next term:

Licensee Class Annual Requirement Max Carry-Forward
RCIC (Active/Conditional) 16 Hours 6 Hours
RISIA 6 Hours 3 Hours

Strategic Advantage for cpdhouse / C.C.E.C. Students

Enrolling in the full 7-hour Professional Certificate program isn't just about meeting today's requirements; it's about strategic planning for tomorrow.

1. The "Buffer" Strategy: If you have already completed 10 or 12 hours of other training, adding the additional XX-hour course(s) will push you beyond the 16-hour RCIC limit. You can then apply those extra hours (up to 6) to your 2027... requirements, giving you a head start on next year.

2. Professionalism Assurance: Since the CICC requires at least 1 hour of Professionalism annually, taking our courses ensure(s) you satisfy this mandatory requirement for the current term. Please note that while substantive hours carry forward easily, you must still ensure you meet the specific Professionalism requirement in every new term.

3. Audit-Proof Documentation: By using the cpdhouse / C.C.E.C. interactive LMS, your excess hours are backed by optional verified MCQ assessments. If the College audits your carry-forward hours, you will have robust proof of active engagement and completion.

  • Licensee Responsibility: It is the personal professional responsibility of each RCIC and RISIA to verify their specific CPD requirements and ensure their "Learning Log" is accurate and submitted before the annual deadline (June 30).

  • Course Verification: While this course is designed and received approval at time to meet CICC standards for interactive asynchronous learning, licensees should always confirm current accreditation status on the CICC portal.

We strongly encourage all practitioners to consult the official CICC website for the most current version of the CPD Regulation and Code of Professional Conduct.
